For those whose son or daughter has guaranteed to meet their needs and care in Turkey or who provides evidence that he/she has got financial possibilities
For citizens of A group countries:
1) Foreign national mother and father who request residence permit to stay with his/her Turkish citizen son or daughter
2) Foreign national mother and father who request residence permit to stay with his/her son or daughter who lives in our country with residence permit
Are given residence permit not exceeding 5 years and then extended.
For citizens B group countries:
1) 2 years’ residence permit is given to foreign national mother and father who request residence permit to stay with his/her Turkish citizen son or daughter
2) Residence permit parallel to residence permits of the son or daughter is given and extended to foreign national mother and father who request residence permit to stay with his/her son or daughter who lives in our country with residence permit
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
• 6 passport photos
• The original of the passport
• Copy of the passport (Page with the photo, page which indicates the last entrance, page which indicates the validity period)
• The original of the residence permit of the parents and copy of all processed pages
• Son/daughter must be present during the application
• If there is a previous residence permit, the original of the residence permit and copy of all the processed pages are required.
• The original of the notary certified translation of birth certificate of the son/daughter at the first application
• The person to accompany the parents, who have residence permit, must not have turned 18 years old.
• During the first application, if the father and mother are;
• Divorced: The original of the notary certified translation of the guardianship decision made by the court
• Seperated: The original of the notary certified translation of consent letter of the other parent.
• If one of the parents has deceased: The original of the notary certified translation of death certificate
• If one of the parents is missing: The original of the notary certified translation of absence certificate given by the court is required.
If there is a previous extension, the original of the residence permit and copy of all the processed pages are required.
